Renowned as a premier whale-watching destination, Hermanus grew from a quaint fishing village nestled on Walker Bay.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Raka Wine and Ataraxia Wines. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Grotto Beach and Pringle Bay Beach. Take a break from Hermanus with a short trip to Stony Point Penguin Colony in Betty's Bay, about 50 minutes away. There's lots more to do: stroll through Voelklip Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Fernkloof Nature Reserve, and enjoy the sand and surf at Kwaaiwater.
