Nestled in the arid valley of Little Karoo, the town of Oudtshoorn remains the hub of everything ostrich-related, housing the world's largest population of the flightless birds.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Gallery Route 62 & Coffee Café and Watershed. Step off the beaten path and head to Swartberg Pass and Cali Craft & Gems. Explore Oudtshoorn's surroundings by going to Peter Bayly Wines (in Calitzdorp) and Villa Kruger (in Prince Albert). There's lots more to do: relax in the rural setting at Safari Ostrich Show Farm, stop by La Chocolaterie Rococo, and Head underground at The Cango Caves.

Enshrouded in lush indigenous forest and surrounding a scenic lagoon of the same name, the Garden Route town of Knysna has plenty to offer.
Visit Brenton on Sea and Buffalo Bay for some beach relaxation. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Noetzie and Wilderness Beach. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Bollard Bay, stop by Metelerkamps, explore the activities along Knysna Lagoon, and pause for some serene contemplation at Holy Trinity Church.

Sweeping beaches, towering hilltops, and picturesque vineyards adorn the landscape of Cape Town, dominated by the imposing Table Mountain.
Museum-lovers will get to explore The Franschhoek Motor Museum and District Six Museum. Visit Clifton Beaches and Boulders Beach for some beach relaxation. When in Cape Town, make a side trip to see Boschendal Wine Estate in Groot Drakenstein, approximately 1 hour away. There's much more to do: get great views at Cape of Good Hope, take in the waterfront activity at Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, head off the coast to Robben Island, and hunt for treasures at Old Biscuit Mill.
