Universal Studios Japan has been added to your itinerary. Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and Hozenji Yokocho will appeal to history buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Arima Onsen and Hōzen-ji Temple. Taipei, Taiwan to Osaka is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Taipei to Osaka. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Taipei in November, with highs in Osaka at 20°C and lows at 10°C. You will have some time to spend on the 23rd (Sat) before leaving for Nara.

Getting from Kyoto to Hakone-machi by train takes about 4 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and flight. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Kyoto in November: highs in Hakone-machi hover around 13°C, while lows dip to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to travel to Tokyo.

Step off the beaten path and head to Asakusa Shrine and Kashima Jingū Shrine. Ueno and Yanaka are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Mt. Takao (in Hachioji), Mitsumine Shrine (Chichibu) (in Chichibu) and Katori Jingu Shrine (in Katori). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Kencho-ji Temple, wander the streets of Ginza, get a taste of the local shopping with Takeshita Street, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple.

Do a combination of bus and train from Hakone-machi to Tokyo in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Hakone-machi, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Tokyo, ranging from highs of 19°C to lows of 11°C. On the 1st (Sun), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
