Gaomei Wetland, Qingshui

#1 of 69 in Parks in Taichung
An elevated boardwalk snaking through a biodiverse landscape, Gaomei Wetland provides a protected sanctuary for wildlife and plant life. Established in 2005, the wetlands span 300 ha (741.3 ac) of land, consisting of a vast plain of marshy terrain scattered with wind turbines. Stroll the seemingly never-ending length of boardwalk, looking out for tiny crabs and birds in the surrounding watery reeds. Try to time your visit to coincide with sunset, which offers particularly spectacular views across the shimmering expanse. • Because of the tide if you are taking a sunset, the trail has been flooded, the trail can be seen next to the crabs, etc. is a good sign of saving life, not down the trail no money is also a good thing to keep clear if there is no stop to wash your hands need to pay (see the practice of holding order) is very good: Does this really work?

  • Every time you come to Taiwan, you have to see the sights like the sky, and the night of the illusion. There are indistinct crabs on the sea, and the children are blind. Take the time and come here and blow the sea, and I think you'll definitely get something. However, there is traffic control at the beginning of the current holiday season, so you may have to check the situation.

  • Great Place and Beautiful Seashore, this place is very famous tourist Destination in Taichung, here you can find delicious food. You can rent bicycle and ride around Gaomei and explore nature. Please visit,You will like it.Thank you very much...😊
  • So this is a nice spot to visit to watch the sunset near Taichung. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, at about 45 minutes away. Honestly, it’s beautiful, yes. But if you’re looking to be in the city itself and explore, this place may not be for you. It’s a long ride to just watch the sunset over the ocean with open skies. If you’re hungry, there are a few small food stands and a couple restaurants across the road from the viewing area on the water. Am I glad I went? Sure. Would I go again? Probably not. Feels mostly like an instagramable spot at sunset for just a few minutes. If you do go, be sure to get there maybe 30-45 minutes before sunset, as the sun wasn’t quite visible behind the clouds. Bring a jacket too. The wind off the water can be quite chilly.
