  • Changed a lot in last 17 years. Now far more commercialised (last time we saw otters as far fewer people). Paths and bridges well maintained.  more »
  • Admission with the equivalent of Approx. 12€ p.p. Is not quite favorable for South African conditions, but for German conditions at least and it is really breathtakingly beautiful. Before we reached the parking lot we stopped and were fascinated by the raging sea and the huge waves on the stone coast. There is a toilet in front of the trails, while the trails do not. We made the Mouth Trail (hanging bridge and pebble beach) and from there we made the further Lookout Trail. The Mouth is also well doable for children and the elderly. To the suspension bridges go down steep steps, but all well fastened and to hold. The lookout starts from the pebble beach, it is more strenuous but also more feasible, but requires a certain physical fitness. After 2/3, a bank comes to a sniff. We also went the last piece (was easier again) and then came to a viewing platform. Important: coming early is worth it, we were there at 10 o'clock and went at 2 pm, there it was very crowded and the cars piled up the road. In addition, the fog hangs in the mountains when you are there early, which looks great.

  • Great place to stop but always super busy so need patience. Get a nice cup of coffee or something to eat, fill up while enjoying the view.
  • Beautiful scene! Lovely deck outside with tables offering a view of the bridge. Helpful attendants at the petrol station. Enough parking. There are a few restaurants / take-away shops to choose food from. It is a place to stop and refuel (your car and body) for the rest of the road. Public toilet available.
