The mountain's most recognizable feature, its long, flat plateau, along with its diverse wildlife, attracts visitors from all over the world. You can also hike one of the numerous mountain trails, the most popular of which is a trek along a centrally located gorge. In addition to the picturesque scenery and panoramic views from the top, the mountain offers a variety of activities, from rock climbing to exploring its sandstone cave systems. • On 11/06/2018, my wife and I took a ride atop of this one of wonders of the earth. A Majestically carved master piece, we were amazed at the architectural work done here from nature deposit. Looking f...  more »

  • Worth doing but hold in to your children. The place is safe but there are plenty of little walls they can climb up and fall. I really recommend to hold them all the time if they're anything like our wild bunch. We loved the views. Do bring your own binoculars birds and mamals to be observed. Not crowded off season but I heard it's full in high season. The price is quite high checks on line for details. The world is home ;)
  • World Heritage Site. Well run. Wish it received more government funding and therefore job creation. Many beautiful, tranquil, safe pockets of restorative nature. If you choose the lesser travelled paths then you can find almost complete silence, with the gentle sounds of nature layering the experience. Such magnificence right here on our city's back door step. There is a succinct artwork at the fan Bridge, Foreshore, which has a tight, tall metal rainbow arching elliptically over a base, with the words "it's beautiful here". That is Cape Town in a nutshell.
  • I had the luck to ascend table mountain on a clear, warm and cloudless day. The views are breathtaking and the guided tour very interesting. You can have long walks on the top and the bar, restaurant and shop are very well kept. Be aware there is almost no parking at the cable car lower station so the best option is to take a cab.
  • Table mountain is the iconic landmark of Cape Town. A real must see. I'd suggest if u want to go up, u must get up real early and head up to the cable way lot. Queues get very long. Also visits up to the top are weather permitting. It's picturesque beauty is well worth it. If u really energetic u can hike up table mountain. But it's advised for the fitter person. And take water with u.
  • Well this is a heaven for hikers and cave hunters, no two routes are ever the same. One can use the cable car to go up and down the mountain or simply hike using any of the hundreds of clear hiking routes all around the mountain. From any direction the views to and from the top are amazing. I suggest, starting with Lion's head if one has never hiked before, then try devil's peak then table mountain. But for just the views, take the cable car to the top and look at the majestic views from any side of the mountain
