#11 of 17 in Beaches in Cape Town
Find a spot behind a rock sheltered from the breeze and watch surfers challenge the currents at Llandudno Beach. Surrounded by large granite boulders, the white-sand beach lapped by the extremely cold waters of Atlantic Ocean serves as a popular surfing spot. The lack of parking and its proximity to an elite residential area make it seldom crowded. Use our Cape Town visit app to add Llandudno Beach and other attractions to your Cape Town vacation plans.

  • Very nice and very quiet beach... the scenery is also very nice. There is a surf school/club and nearby there is parking and public baths... the only thing missing was some coffee/bar on the beach.

  • Beautiful beach. Great place for surfing as well as exploring. Stunning place to watch the sunset or sunrise. Bit of a walk to reach the beautiful but easily accessible. Parking is available.
  • A great beach for all types of beach going. There is some of the best surf if you are keen to get in the water, the beach is well kept and ideal for tanning and it is also let friendly which gives host to some loving pets joining the mix. Parking is a bit tight, so either get in early or prepare for a slight walk (worth it though).
