  • We spent two hours enjoying the museum, the “new”. Sanctuary and the holocaust museum as well. Highly recommended  more »
  • My friend and I were not allowed into the museum because we didn’t have our passports with us. We did have copies which we always carry around but they would not accept these so we were very disappoin...  more »

  • Unfortunately they would not allow me in because I refuse to record my identification number on their paper. I showed them identification but still refused. Couldn't give an answer why they wanted my identity number. Interestingly, they allowed Jewish people in without filling out details.
  • Great explanation about the creation of a Jewish community in South Africa. Very modern and with a lot of unusual details, like the reconstruction of a Lithuanian shtetl, a typical Jewish village from the country that brought around 40.000 Jews to South Africa. Definitely worth a visit.
