Signal Hill, Cape Town Central

4.6
Drive to Signal Hill for panoramic views of Cape Town, including Table Mountain and Robben Island. You can reach the hilltop on a short, picturesque drive from town, and once there, have a picnic, hike up to the adjacent Lion's Head Hill, or take a romantic evening walk for a chance to capture some unforgettable sunset images. Wandering the plateau, you'll come across a number of "kramats," sacred tombs dedicated to various Muslim missionaries. Signal Hill is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Cape Town Edition.

  • This is a place where we have beautiful views of Cape Town and the surrounding area. This is a place where we can admire people who go paragliding over the ocean. There is the possibility to rent a meeting of paragliding with a guide.

  • What an amazing place to watch the sun set.. Ensure you have a blanket as the wind makes place cold in the evening.. Go with a cup of coffee or any hot drink.. Better yet, go with a picnic basket and enjoy dinner..
  • Signal hill is a beautiful viewpoint for those who don’t feel like climbing. It’s free! So just drive your way up to the top and enjoy the amazing flowers, nature, and viewpoints. If you do feel like having a climb, the trail start point for Lion’s Head is actually on the way up to Signal Hill.
  • Só good to watch the sunset surrounded by complete strangers all with smiles of happiness on their faces. Truly a happy place - and stunningly beautiful too!
  • Great place to take family and friends for a nice afternoon looking over the city. Amazing for an early evening sunset watch over the Atlantic ocean.
  • Great view of Cape Town at night. Watching the sunsets over the city is recommended. Good place to take photos.
