Dune 7, Walvis Bay

4.2
#4 of 12 in Parks in Erongo Region
Dune 7 stands as the highest sand dune in Namibia's coastal region on the edge of the Namib Desert. Walk on the sandy ridge and feel the power of gravity in this extremely arid climate as you observe the sea, sand, and salt with no vegetation around. A number of tour companies offer adventure tourism with quad bikes and monster truck rides, or you can try duneboarding. There is a restaurant and public restrooms in the vicinity. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Walvis Bay holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Dune 7 and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
