  • This is a wonderful forest worth taking time to understand the wilderness. It’s a cloud forest, it was very exciting for us to see the cloud elevation below us. We found each host mature tree to have many ferns, orchids, and mosses. We did not see any mammals nor birds but that did not lessen the closeness with nature. Plan on going to the look-out-point later after the clouds have dispersed. The bridge has a limitation of 10 people. So be aware. Some paths could be slippery based on ground wetness. Plan on a good pair of shoes. There is a limitation on the number of tourists in the forest, maybe 250. Each tourist is provided with a wrist band that is scanned at entry and exit. Overall this is a very well managed reservation. It is an advertised fact that 100% of proceeds from ticket sales goes towards conservation, research and environmental education.
  • Great views and worth the hike up. Did this early morning which was perfect weather because it gets quite steep in places, prepare to get a good sweat on. Be patient from the Continental Divide viewpoint for the clouds to clear and get a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Worth the money and great hiking for all ages. If your on a budget I recommend doing the self guided hike.
